Breakfast might be the most important meal of the day, but, brunch is definitely the most fabulous meal of the day! This week I am rounding up some of the hottest party brunches that are worth travelling for.
Blue Marlin Ibiza, U.A.E.
The glitterati of Dubai knows all about party brunches. They adore this chich waterside hot spot. Every Saturday Blue Marlin’s talented chefs set up an array of stations out on the deck, where they serve a delicious selection of sushi, smoky BBQ, fresh salads and gorgeous desserts.
From the comfort of your sun lounger or day bed, sip of chilled Sangria or refreshing Mojitos, whilst the resident DJ’s play soulful ambient beats. This party really gets lively as the sun goes down.
Bagatelle, New York
Party brunches are synonymous with Bagatelle. Itis an iconic institution in New York and an absolute must for brunch on a Sunday. Expect a glamorous, well-heeled crowd in this oh-so-chic destination restaurant in the trendy Meat Packing District.
I’d suggest booking a table around 2 pm to eat. Larger groups should hold onto their tables. You’ll need somewhere to have your champagne jeroboam with sparklers delivered to as the party gets going, obviously 😉 And if you’re a smaller group (say four or less), join the bar area after you dine where the carnage will ensue. The party really kicks off from about 4 pm.
Enjoy table top dancing like you were in a club after dark, as the DJ drops epic sets mixing house, hip hop and a little Latin flair. This is one brunch party you won’t want to miss.
Bunga Bunga, London
Now with two locations in London, choose from the original Bunga Bunga in Battersea (often frequented by the likes of Prince Harry back in the day), or opt for version 2.0 centrally located in Covent Garden.
A trip to BB requires that you channel your inner Berlusconi. Indulging in hedonistic pursuits is highly encouraged! After all, it’s the Bunga Bunga way! You can take in an interactive cabaret show at the Matinee Brunch in Covent Garden. It includes 1.5 hours of all you can drink Prosecco and Bellinis, alongside a delicious selection of antipasto and most amazing breakfast style sourdough pizzas. Brunches are held every Saturday for £48 per person.
Meanwhile, over at Battersea, join the debauchery at their awesome karaoke party brunch. Also held every Saturday. The menu is slightly different and includes warm brioche with a selection of sweet spreads, followed by a selection of charcuterie. Then choose from one of the signature breakfast pizzas or something a little more traditional. You can opt-in for bottomless Bellinis for £48 per person, or the standalone brunch is only £28 per person.
Nikki Beach, Miami
Every Sunday between 11 am – 4 pm, down by South Beach’s turquoise water’s edge, the Nikki Beach crew feast and dance! The legendary weekly buffet includes cocktails, rosé, and champagne, with delicious bite-sized canapes.
Join a sexy jet set crowd at this not to be missed party brunch. Resident DJ’s are joined by some of the world’s most renowned international acts and performers. Go for wild table top dancing and champagne spraying antics that are oh-so-much fun.
Whilst not officially a ‘brunch party’, Nammos knows a thing or two about serving exquisite food with ocean views alongside a rocking party, so I’ve decided it is deserving of a spot on our list.
Using the freshest and finest ingredients, enjoy tantalizing dining overlooking Psarou Beach – a playground for the rich and famous. Megayachts are dotted in the azure bay. Nammos is the destination of choice for brunch/ lunch and sundown partying for elegant partygoers.
This glamorous hot spot comes at a pretty price. But of course, with this much fabulousness, you wouldn’t expect anything less. After brunch, enjoy luxurious sunbeds and ambient beats. And as the sun goes down, get your rosé at the ready as the DJ hots up the vibe.
FOC Sentosa, Singapore
Party brunches don’t normally spring to mind when you think of Singapore. But FOC has got it all worked out. The concept is the collaborative genesis of Michelin Star Chef Nandu Jubany and Chef Jordi Noguera. Inspired by Barcelona’s world-renowned beach vibe culture, the duo has crafted an idyllic Mediterranean haven on the golden sands of Sentosa Island.
Once a month the relaxing hangout comes alive with the best DJ’s in town and a delicious brunch. Choose from brunch only for $88 per person or go for the free flow option for $138, including a great selection of tasty tropical cocktails, Champagne, some spirits and beer.
This brunch party guarantees great music, a fun relaxed crowd and an epic day out in one of Singapore’s most picturesque locations.
