Si and I are mad about Italy. I think it is without a doubt our favourite destination. It’s such a beautiful country offering such variety, from the gorgeous seaside towns including the Amalfi Coast, to the scenic vineyards found all throughout Tuscany and beyond, and achingly romantic cities such as Rome and Venice, that have stolen the hearts of many over the centuries; there really is somewhere wonderful in Italy for everyone.
At the end of May we headed to Rome for a long weekend. I hope you enjoy the highlights from our trip as we explore the Italian capital. Join us as embark on a Vatican City Behind the Scenes Tour, take cover from the rain in Saint Angel’s Castle National Museum, make a wish at the Trevi Fountain, steal a kiss on the Spanish steps, be awestruck by the Roman Forum and the Colosseum, sneak a peek through the Knights of Malta Keyhole at the Basilica of St. Peter’s and marvel at the complexity of the architecture The Pantheon. I hope you love Rome as much as we did!
Until next time, safe travels.
